China Trade Data Due On Friday

China is set to release its June data for imports, exports, and trade balance on Friday, spotlighting a moderate day for economic activity in the Asia-Pacific region.

Imports are projected to increase by 2.8% year-over-year, a rise from 1.8% in May. Exports are anticipated to climb by 8.0% annually, up from the previous month's 7.6%. The trade surplus is estimated at $85.00 billion, improving from $82.62 billion in the prior month.

Japan will report its final figures for industrial production in May. In April, industrial production decreased by 0.9%, while capacity utilization increased by 0.3%.

Malaysia is expected to release its May industrial production numbers, with forecasts indicating a 3.5% increase, slowing down from April's 6.1%.

Singapore will disclose its preliminary Q1 gross domestic product (GDP) data; the previous quarter saw GDP growth of 0.1% on a quarterly basis and 2.7% on an annual basis.

New Zealand will report its June electronic card retail sales figures. In May, sales declined by 1.1% month-over-month and 1.6% year-over-year.
