The unemployment rate in Hong Kong remained unchanged for the April-June period, as revealed by the latest labor force statistics from the Census and Statistics Department, released on Thursday.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stood at 3.0 percent from April to June, consistent with the March-May period.
The data further indicated that the underemployment rate held steady at 1.2 percent.
On a non-seasonally adjusted basis, the unemployment rate also persisted at 3.0 percent.
The number of unemployed individuals totaled 114,700, a slight decline from 116,200 in the March-May period.
"The labor market is expected to remain tight in the short term, supported by continuous economic growth," stated Chris Sun, Secretary for Labor and Welfare.
