S&T Bancorp (STBA), the parent company of S&T Bank, announced a net income of $34.4 million, or $0.89 per share, for Q2 2024. This is nearly unchanged from the $34.5 million, or $0.89 per share, recorded in Q2 2023. This performance surpassed the expectations of five analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters, who had projected earnings of $0.74 per share, excluding special items.
Net interest income for the period fell to $83.59 million from $88.12 million the previous year. Additionally, total noninterest income decreased to $13.31 million from $14.19 million in the same quarter last year. On average, analysts had anticipated total revenue of $96.32 million.
