In February 2025, Colombia saw its unemployment rate decline to 10.3%, a noticeable drop from 11.7% in February of the previous year. This comes after the nation experienced a record low unemployment rate of 8.2% in November 2024, the lowest since late 2015. In terms of employment growth, there was an increase of 977,000 individuals, bringing the total employed population to 23.469 million compared to the year prior. Meanwhile, the labor force participation rate rose to 64.7% from 63.8%, and the employment rate improved to 58.0% from 56.4% over the same period.
