Romania's unemployment rate, adjusted for seasonal variations, experienced a slight increase to 5.6% in February 2025, rising from a seven-month low of 5.5% in January. The total number of unemployed individuals increased by 6,000 compared to the previous month, reaching 456,800. Examining the jobless figures by gender, the rate for men decreased marginally to 5.7% from 5.8% in January, whereas the rate for women climbed to 5.3% from 5.1%. Comparatively, in February 2024, the jobless rate stood lower at 5.2%.
