FX.co ★ Moldova Inflation Edges up to 8.8% in March

In March 2025, Moldova's annual inflation rate increased slightly to 8.8%, up from 8.6% the month before. This uptick was largely attributed to a surge in food product prices, which saw an increase to 9.03% from February's 7.92%. This spike was predominantly due to escalating vegetable and fruit costs. Services inflation also experienced a rise, reaching 17.09% from 16.32%, influenced by higher prices in communal services, housing, and public catering. Conversely, the price increase for non-food products decelerated, dropping to 2.99% from the previous 4.08%. On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices climbed to 0.6% in March, up from February's 0.2%.
