In the first half of July 2025, Brazil experienced a rise in mid-month consumer prices by 0.33%, up from 0.26% in the previous month and slightly exceeding market projections of 0.3%. Among the nine categories analyzed, five showed increases. Leading these was the housing sector with a 0.98% uptick, followed by transport at 0.67%, personal expenses at 0.25%, and healthcare at 0.21%. Conversely, declines were observed in the prices of food and beverages, which fell by 0.06%, household items by 0.02%, and clothing by 0.1%. The annual mid-month inflation rate climbed to 5.3%, rising from June's 5.27% and surpassing the anticipated figure of 5.26%.
