In August 2025, Belarus experienced a slight reduction in its annual inflation rate, which decreased to 7.2% from the 17-month peak of 7.4% recorded in July. This deceleration in inflation was primarily driven by a slowdown in the price increase of groceries, which dropped to 9.9% from 10.6% the month before, thereby offsetting the rises observed in non-food items, which climbed to 3.2% from 3%, and services, which saw an increase to 7.7% from 7.6%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices experienced a decrease of 0.3%.
