In July 2025, Romania witnessed a 2.3% year-on-year increase in industrial production, marking a recovery from the 0.8% decline observed in the previous month. This positive change was primarily fueled by a resurgence in the manufacturing sector, which saw a 3.1% rise compared to a 0.7% decrease in June. Additionally, there was an accelerated growth in the mining and quarrying sectors, with a 1% increase from the marginal 0.1% rise previously reported. Conversely, the supply of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning experienced a downturn, dropping by 2.3% after a 0.3% increase in the prior month. On a month-to-month basis, industrial production decreased by 0.3% in July, a slower rate compared to the 1% decline in the earlier period.
