FX.co ★ Kyrgyzstan GDP Growth Eases Slightly to 11.0% in January–August

Kyrgyzstan's GDP achieved an 11.0% growth year-on-year from January to August 2025, representing a slight deceleration from the 11.5% reported in the January–July period, yet exceeding the 8.3% growth observed during the same timeframe last year. The industrial sector experienced a robust 11.5% increase compared to the previous year, primarily fueled by substantial growth in pharmaceutical production (+120%), food products, including beverages and tobacco (+44.4%), wood, paper, and printing products (+32.9%), as well as rubber, plastics, and construction materials (+32.2%). Additionally, there were significant advancements in chemical production (+22.8%), textile and garment manufacturing (+7.1%), and mineral extraction (+15.5%). Concurrently, the construction sector saw a remarkable increase of 34.8%, while wholesale and retail trade grew by 11.6%, and the agricultural sector experienced a modest rise of 2.4%.
