Slovakia experienced a narrowing of its current account deficit in July 2025, which decreased to EUR 484.1 million compared to EUR 493 million in July of the previous year. This improvement was largely attributed to a significant decrease in the goods account deficit, which was reduced to EUR 121.7 million from EUR 216.2 million in July 2024. Conversely, the surplus in the services account reduced to EUR 27.6 million from a previous EUR 54.7 million. Meanwhile, the primary income deficit expanded to EUR 270.1 million from EUR 216.8 million, and there was a slight increase in the secondary income deficit, rising to EUR 119.9 million from EUR 114.7 million.
