Argentina observed a slight decrease in its unemployment rate, which fell to 7.6% in the second quarter of 2025, down from 7.9%—the highest rate recorded since the third quarter of 2021—in the previous period. Concurrently, the employment rate saw a marginal rise to 44.5% from 44.4% in the preceding quarter. However, there was a slight decline in the labor force participation rate, which dropped to 48.1% from 48.2%.
