Foreign entities expanded their investment in long-term US securities by $78.8 billion, with private investors contributing $72.4 billion in net purchases and foreign official institutions adding $6.4 billion. Concurrently, US investors increased their stakes in long-term foreign securities, with net purchases totaling $29.6 billion.
