The HCOB Germany Services PMI for September 2025 has been significantly revised down to 51.5 from the initial estimate of 52.5, although it still shows a notable improvement from August's 49.3. This data indicates a modest recovery in the services sector, achieving its fastest pace of expansion in eight months, albeit still below the long-term average. Despite this growth, new work inflows saw a decline for the second month in a row. In parallel, the sector experienced its sharpest drop in employment in over five years. Additionally, there is a continued rise in operating expenses, predominantly driven by wage increases, with output price inflation climbing further above its historical average.
