In August 2025, Finland's annual industrial production decreased by 0.2%, following a revised decline of 5.3% in July. This marks the third consecutive month of contraction in industrial activity, although it was the smallest decline during this period. The reduction in output for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply eased to -1.3% from -5.8% in July. Meanwhile, the manufacturing sector saw a slight improvement, with output rising by 0.1% compared to a -5.7% decrease previously. Conversely, production growth slowed in the mining and quarrying sector, falling to 2.4% from 18.8%. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial activity increased by 2.6% in August, recovering from a revised 1.9% drop in the prior month.
