The Swedish economy experienced a 1.1% month-over-month growth in August 2025, bouncing back from a revised 0.3% decline in July. According to economist Melker Pettersson Loberg from Statistics Sweden, "The economy showed growth due to heightened household consumption and increased business sector production." On an annual basis, GDP saw a 2.4% increase in August, following a revised upward growth of 1.9% in the preceding month.
