In September 2025, Portugal experienced a deceleration in industrial production growth, recording a 2.0% increase year-on-year, compared to a revised 3.0% growth in August. The production of capital goods showed a significant slowdown to 0.1% from 7.1%. Energy output saw a marginal decrease, sliding to 15.3% from 15.5%. The production of consumer goods continued its downward trend, with a decline of 3.5%, worsening from the 2.9% decrease observed in August. Conversely, the output of intermediate goods improved, rising to 2.9% from the prior month's increase of 0.9%. On a monthly basis, industrial production saw a growth of 0.6% in September, following a 1.1% increase in August.
