In October 2025, Seychelles experienced a deceleration in its annual inflation rate to 0.30%, the lowest since April, down from 0.51% in September. Consumer prices for non-food items showed little movement after a 0.34% rise the previous month, as decreases in housing and utility costs (-0.43% compared to 1.05%) balanced out a slight recovery in transport prices (0.15% following a decline of -0.86%). Inflation for other food categories, excluding fish, decreased slightly from 2.37% to 2.29%. Conversely, fish prices increased by 1.2% in October, marking their first rise in eight months, following a sharp drop of 6.13% in the prior period. On a month-to-month basis, overall consumer prices decreased by 0.21% in October, after a smaller reduction of 0.05% in September.
