In September 2025, Poland's trade deficit expanded to EUR 1.02 billion, up from EUR 0.55 billion in the same month of the previous year. This was primarily due to a 7.3% surge in imports, reaching a six-month peak of EUR 31.09 billion. The increase was fueled by a marked uptick in the acquisition of consumer goods, arms, capital goods, and fuels. Concurrently, exports saw a 5.8% rise, amounting to EUR 30.07 billion, the highest since October 2024, bolstered by elevated sales of agricultural products, passenger cars, and household appliances. Throughout the first nine months of 2025, Poland's trade deficit expanded significantly to EUR 9.95 billion, compared to EUR 2.95 billion over the same period in the previous year.
