Mongolia experienced a year-on-year economic growth of 5.9% in the third quarter of 2025, an increase from the 5.6% growth recorded in the previous quarter. This represents the most robust economic expansion since the first quarter of the previous year. The mining and quarrying sector significantly contributed to this upturn, with growth rising to 1.1% from 0.1% in the second quarter. Similarly, the industry and construction sectors played a pivotal role, notably within manufacturing, achieving an increase to 1.1% from 0.1%. However, the agriculture sector saw a slight deceleration in output growth to 3.4% from 3.6%, and the services sector also experienced a minor dip, easing to 0.6% from 0.7%, primarily due to downturns in wholesale, retail, and transportation. On a seasonally adjusted basis, the GDP grew by 1.4% in the third quarter, following a 1.6% rise in the previous quarter.
