FX.co ★ US Mortgage Rates Continue to Rise: MBA

The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) has reported that for the week ending November 14th, 2025, the average interest rate on 30-year fixed-rate mortgages with conforming loan balances ($806,500 or less) in the United States increased slightly to 6.37%, up from 6.34% the previous week. This marks the third consecutive weekly rise in rates and is the highest in approximately a month. However, this rate remains 53 basis points lower than it was in the same period last year. Meanwhile, mortgage application activity saw a decline of 5.2%, following a modest gain of 0.6% the week before. Applications for home purchases dropped by 2.3%, while refinancing requests experienced a more significant decrease of 7.3%.
