Foreign direct investment (FDI) in China decreased by 10.3% to CNY 621.93 billion for the year ending October 2025. This marks a continuation of the decline observed over the past two and a half years, yet it is at the most moderate rate since December 2023. Breaking down the investments, CNY 161.91 billion was directed towards the manufacturing sector, while the services sector attracted CNY 445.82 billion. Additionally, technological industries received CNY 192.52 billion in foreign capital. The United Arab Emirates emerged as the largest investor, contributing nearly half of the total inflow. The United Kingdom and Switzerland also made significant contributions.
