In September 2025, Argentina's economic activity experienced a robust expansion, growing by 5% compared to the same month the previous year. This marked an acceleration from the 2.5% growth observed in August and significantly surpassed market predictions, which had anticipated a 2.1% increase. Out of fifteen sectors, thirteen witnessed growth. Key contributors to this expansion included financial intermediation, which surged by 39.7% compared to a 26.4% rise previously, and the real estate, business, and rental activities sector, which grew by 5% as opposed to 2.5% in the prior month. The fishing sector stood out with a remarkable increase of 58.2%, up from 1.1%. Conversely, only two sectors saw a decline: manufacturing, which decreased by 1% compared to a 4.8% drop earlier, and public administration and defense, including compulsory social security, which fell by 0.7% in contrast to a 0.5% decrease previously. On a seasonally adjusted month-to-month basis, economic activity increased by 0.5%.
