Mozambique's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) experienced a year-on-year decline of 0.9% in the third quarter of 2025, mirroring the contraction rate of the previous quarter. This marks the fourth consecutive quarter of economic contraction. Both the secondary and tertiary sectors were significantly impacted, highlighting the ongoing repercussions of post-election tensions. On the demand side, diminished private consumption and decreased investment further hampered overall economic activity.
