Industrial production in Georgia rose by 3.9% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2025, moderating from the robust 9.3% increase witnessed in the previous quarter. This slowdown in output growth was reflected across key sectors. In manufacturing, growth eased to 2.1% compared to 7.6% in the second quarter. Notably, the production of beverages (-4.9%), tobacco products (-13.1%), wearing apparel (-2.1%), and leather products (-29.6%) saw declines, which partly offset gains in the production of food products (+16%) and textiles (+14.6%). The mining and quarrying sector also experienced a slower growth rate of 19%, down from 34.9%, as a result of reduced extraction of crude petroleum and natural gas. Similarly, the water supply, sewage, waste management, and remediation services sector grew by 5.9%, a decrease from the previous 10.4% growth. Conversely, the supply of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning saw an uptick, with output gains accelerating to 5.4% from 4.2%. On a quarterly basis, industrial output increased by 3.9%, slowing down from the significant 15.7% increase observed in the prior period.
