In October 2025, the Swedish industry experienced a notable year-on-year increase in total orders, jumping by 12.1%. This follows a previously adjusted rise of 6.7% in the preceding month. Orders from domestic customers in Sweden saw a significant growth of 23.2%, compared to a modest 2.1% in September. Meanwhile, orders from international customers saw a reduction, growing by 4.6% in October compared to 10.4% the previous month. The transportation industry witnessed an impressive surge in orders by 60.6%, alongside a 36.7% rise in capital goods orders. Conversely, there were substantial declines in the orders for coal and refined petroleum products, which fell by 22.1%, and in electrical equipment, down by 10.1%. On a monthly basis, total orders increased by 4.7%. Over the first ten months of the year, total industry orders were up by 6.4% compared to the same period in 2024, with the domestic market advancing by 2.7% and the export market rising by 9.0%.
