FX.co ★ Colombia Retail Growth Slows in October

In October 2025, Colombia experienced a 10% increase in retail sales compared to the same month the previous year. This growth fell short of the anticipated 12% and represents a slowdown from the 14.4% rise observed in September. Nonetheless, all nineteen merchandise categories exhibited positive real sales growth. Notable contributions to this annual rise were seen in personal and household IT and telecommunications equipment, which surged by 48%, motor vehicles and motorcycles intended primarily for household use, which grew by 20.7%, and other motor vehicles and motorcycles, which increased by 17%. Significant increases were also noted in audio and video equipment at 30.9%, household appliances and furniture at 17.7%, hardware, glass, and paints at 15.4%, and groceries at 2.7%. On a year-to-date basis, retail sales experienced a 12.3% growth.
