The HCOB France Composite PMI slightly decreased to 50.1 in December 2025, compared to 50.4 in November, and fell short of market predictions of 50.3, according to preliminary estimates. This recent data highlights a near standstill in the French private sector, following a slight growth in the prior month, which was the first positive change since August 2024. Manufacturing activity showed signs of stabilization, with the PMI rising to 50.6 from 47.8 in November, reversing the previous month's sharp decline. In contrast, growth in the services sector slowed down, as indicated by the PMI slipping to 50.2 from 51.4.
