FX.co ★ Czech Producer Deflation Sharpest in 7 Months

Producer prices in the Czech Republic experienced a 1.3% decrease in November 2025 compared to the same period last year, slightly surpassing market predictions of a 1.6% reduction and following a 1.2% decline in October. This marks the tenth consecutive month of falling prices, with the steadiest drop since April, largely due to cheaper electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply, which decreased by 3.2% compared to a 2.6% fall in the previous month. Prices in the manufacturing sector also continued to decline, dropping by 0.8% after a 0.7% decrease in October, primarily affecting the chemicals and chemical products sector, which saw an 8.4% reduction, and the motor vehicles, trailers, and semi-trailers sector, which fell by 2.5%. Meanwhile, deflation rates for mining and quarrying remained constant at 4.1%. Conversely, producer inflation for water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services held steady at 4.1%. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices climbed by 0.3% in November, bouncing back from a 0.1% decline in the previous period.
