In the third quarter of 2025, Paraguay's GDP grew by 6.6% compared to the same period last year, slightly increasing from the 6.5% growth noted in the previous quarter. This economic advancement was largely propelled by robust performances in the services sector, which saw a growth of 6.9% compared to 7.1% in the second quarter, and a significant contribution from the electricity and water sector, recording an 8.3% increase, albeit down from 14.1%. Notably, the agriculture sector experienced a strong recovery, surging by 9.5% in contrast to the previous 3.5%. However, growth in construction slowed to 3.4% from 4.5%, as did the sectors encompassing livestock, forestry, fishing, and mining which declined to 2.7% from 5.2%. On a more positive note, the manufacturing sector saw accelerated growth of 7.4% compared to 4.5% previously. On the demand side, domestic consumption grew by 5.9%, a decrease from the substantial 14.1% recorded in the second quarter.
