In November 2025, Macau's unemployment rate remained unchanged at a low 1.7%, matching its lowest point since January. The unemployment figure remained steady at 6,700 individuals, while total employment experienced an increase, rising by 2,100 to reach 378,900. The majority of those looking for work were previously engaged in the retail trade and gaming sectors. The proportion of first-time jobseekers among the unemployed witnessed a slight increase of 0.5 percentage points, reaching 14.4%. The labor force participation rate edged up to 67.2% from 67.0% in October, primarily due to an increase in female participation (65.5% compared to 64.9%). Meanwhile, the male participation rate saw a minor decline, reducing to 69.4% from 69.7%.
