FX.co ★ Vietnam Industrial Output Grows for 11th Month

Vietnam's industrial production experienced a year-on-year increase of 10.1% in December 2025, showing a slight deceleration from November's 10.8% growth. This marks the 11th month in a row of expansion. The manufacturing sector's output growth eased to 10.9%, down from 11.8% in November. The growth in water supply, waste management, and wastewater treatment also saw a minor decrease to 6.3% from 6.5%. Meanwhile, the mining and quarrying sector remained relatively stagnant, with a negligible increase of just 0.2%, following a 7.0% rise in the previous month. In contrast, the electricity and gas sector experienced a notable acceleration, surging to an 11.2% increase compared to 5.8% in November. On a month-by-month basis, industrial production rose by 2.2% in December. For the entire year, industrial output expanded by 9.2% compared to the previous year.
