FX.co ★ Hungary Jobless Rate Falls to 4.4% in September-November

In the period from September to November 2025, Hungary experienced a reduction in its unemployment rate, which dropped to 4.4% from the previous year's 4.7%. The number of unemployed individuals decreased by 14,600 from the previous year, totaling 216,200. Among the unemployed, 119,900 were men, with their unemployment rate rising slightly to 4.7% compared to 4.6% the previous year. In contrast, 96,300 women were unemployed, with their unemployment rate falling to 4.2% from 4.8% the previous year. The average duration of job searching was recorded at 12.3 months. Notably, 42.1% of the unemployed were looking for work for less than 3 months, while 33.9% had been job-hunting for at least a year. Concurrently, the number of employed individuals decreased by 35,600, bringing the total to 4.6556 million. Male employment saw a decline of 34,600 to 2.4535 million, while female employment slightly decreased by 1,000, totaling 2.2021 million.
