FX.co ★ Greece Industrial Production Growth Slows in November

In November 2025, Greece experienced a 2.6% year-on-year increase in industrial production, marking the third successive month of growth, albeit at a slower rate compared to October's 6.4% rise. This slowdown can be attributed to a reduced pace in manufacturing output, which grew by 7.0%, down from 4.2% in October, as well as in the mining and quarrying sectors, which saw a 2.3% increase compared to 12.2% previously. Electricity production experienced a significant decline, dropping by 11.9% after an 18.2% surge in October. Conversely, the decline in water supply lessened, contracting by only 5.2% compared to the prior month's 9.0% decrease. Analyzing the industrial groups, we observe a deceleration in output growth for consumer durables, which expanded by 5.4%, down from 18.4%, while energy registered a decline at -3.5% compared to a 14.5% rise. However, growth accelerated for intermediate goods, which increased by 5.3% compared to 0.9%, capital goods, which grew by 5.2% up from 3.6%, and consumer non-durables, which advanced by 6.1% from 3.4%. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production decreased by 1.6% in November, reversing the 0.7% increase recorded in October.
