In December 2025, Albania experienced an uptick in its annual inflation rate, reaching 2.3% compared to November's 2.1%. The most significant contributors to this rise were increases in costs associated with housing, water, electricity, and other fuels, which surged by 4.8%. Food and non-alcoholic beverages also saw a price increase of 1.6%. Additionally, there were notable price hikes in furniture, household goods, and maintenance at 2.1%, recreation and culture at 3.6%, and education services at 1.9%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices climbed by 0.7%, recovering from a 0.2% decrease witnessed in November.
