In December 2025, Macau experienced a 17.8% year-on-year increase in tourist arrivals, totaling 3.58 million visitors. This represents a slight deceleration compared to the 18.1% growth observed in November. Within this increase, same-day visitors surged by 23%, while overnight visitors saw a rise of 10.9%. The average length of visitor stays remained stable at 1.1 days compared to the previous year, although the duration of stay for overnight visitors decreased to 2.1 days. Analyzing by source market, the number of arrivals from Mainland China rose by 22.6%, reaching 2.51 million, with a substantial 32.7% increase among those traveling under the Individual Visit Scheme. Visitors from Taiwan also increased by 22.4%, reaching 86.3 thousand, and those from Hong Kong grew modestly by 3.1%, totaling 652.1 thousand. Over the year 2025, the number of international visitors climbed by 13.7%, amounting to 2.755 million. From January to December, the total number of visitors increased by 14.7%, reaching 40.1 million in total.
