Kazakhstan’s economy grew by 6.5% in 2025, up from 4.8% in the previous year, marking its fastest expansion since 2011. The acceleration was supported by robust gains in both goods and services output, which increased by 8.7% and 5.2%, respectively. Over January–December 2025, goods production accounted for 36.1% of GDP and services for 57.7%, with the industrial sector alone contributing the largest share at 26.3%.
Within the goods-producing sector, construction recorded the strongest growth at 15.9%, followed by mining and quarrying at 9.4%, while overall industrial output rose by 7.4%. In the services sector, transportation and warehousing posted a notable 20.4% increase, and wholesale and retail trade (including the repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles) expanded by 8.9%.
