European stocks were little changed near record highs as investors weighed a fresh batch of corporate earnings, with strong results from Nvidia eliciting only a muted market response. The Euro Stoxx 50 inched up 0.2% to 6,185, while the broader STOXX Europe 600 was broadly flat at 633.
Among the notable gainers, Schneider Electric rose more than 1% after reporting core earnings that beat expectations. Eni also advanced over 1%, supported by an increase in fourth-quarter earnings. Deutsche Telekom gained 0.6% after posting core profit slightly ahead of forecasts, and Clariant climbed 1.5% following stronger-than-expected fourth-quarter adjusted EBITDA.
In France, Engie jumped 6% after unveiling plans to acquire 100% of UK Power Networks in a deal valuing the equity at £10.5 billion. Meanwhile, LSEG rose 5% after announcing an additional £3 billion share buyback program, amid ongoing pressure from Elliott Investment Management.
On the downside, Allianz slipped 0.9% after issuing 2026 guidance that fell short of analyst expectations.
