Producer prices in the Czech Republic fell by 2.9% year-on-year in February 2026, easing slightly from a 3.0% decline in January. Deflation in the manufacturing sector moderated to 1.7% from 1.8% in the previous month, supported by rising costs for basic metals and for machinery and equipment. Price declines also slowed in mining and quarrying (down 1.5% vs. 1.9% in January) and in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (down 7.1% vs. 7.4%). Meanwhile, prices in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services were unchanged, maintaining a 3.9% increase. On a month-on-month basis, producer prices rose 0.1%, rebounding from a 0.7% decrease in the prior month.
