FX.co ★ Morocco Sees Consumer Deflation for 4th Month

Morocco’s consumer price index fell by 0.6% year-on-year in February 2026, following a 0.8% decline in January and extending the deflationary trend to a fourth consecutive month. Prices continued to drop in several key categories, including food and non-alcoholic beverages (-2.2% vs. -2.4% in January), transportation (-2.7% vs. -2.9%), communication (-0.4% vs. -0.4%), and recreation and culture (-0.2% vs. -0.4%). On a monthly basis, however, the CPI increased by 0.5% in February, accelerating from a 0.3% rise in the previous month.
