Households’ assessments of their own financial situation over the past year slipped to -10 from -8, and expectations for the year ahead turned negative, falling to -3 from 1. Willingness to make purchases eased to -15 from -11, indicating reduced readiness to spend, and opinions on whether it is a good time for major purchases worsened to -32 from -28.
