Sentiment in services remained weak at 96, with corporate services reporting especially adverse conditions. The business climate in building construction inched up to 97 from 96, supported by stable past activity and a slight improvement in order books, yet it too stayed below its long-term average. Retail trade and motor vehicle repair saw a modest rebound to 99 from 98, driven by stronger ordering intentions. The employment climate improved to 94 from 93, though it also remained under its long-term norm, mainly reflecting better expectations for workforce size in services, including temporary employment agencies.
