Slovakia’s consumer price inflation continued to moderate in March 2026, with the year-over-year Consumer Price Index (CPI) easing to 3.5%. This marks a slight decline from February 2026, when annual inflation stood at 3.7%, according to data updated on 15 April 2026.
Both figures are calculated on a year-over-year basis, comparing each month’s price levels to the same month a year earlier. The March reading suggests that price pressures in the Slovak economy are gradually subsiding, extending the slowdown observed at the start of the year. While inflation remains above the very low levels seen in the pre-inflation surge period, the latest data point to a continued normalization in consumer price growth.
