US private employers added an average of 54,750 jobs per week in the four weeks ending April 4, 2026, according to the ADP Research Institute. This represents a sharp acceleration from the upwardly revised average of 40,250 weekly jobs in the prior four-week period and marks the fifth consecutive week of strengthening hiring activity. The latest pace also sets a new high since ADP began weekly tracking in September 2025.
