Taiwan’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate inched up to 3.35% in March from 3.33% in February. The number of unemployed rose by 2,000 from the previous month to 402,000, while total employment slipped by 6,000 to 11.638 million. Youth unemployment remained a major pressure point, with the jobless rate for those aged 15–24 climbing to 11.42% from 11.34% in February, highlighting persistent difficulties for young people entering the labor market. Meanwhile, the labor force participation rate edged down to 59.57% from 59.59% a month earlier.
