Oman’s total credit growth picked up slightly in December 2025, with the year-over-year rate ticking up to 8.5%, according to data updated on 1 May 2026. This marks a marginal acceleration from November 2025, when total credit expanded by 8.4% compared with the same month a year earlier.
The figures are based on year-over-year comparisons, with each month’s growth measured against the corresponding month of the previous year. The December reading suggests that credit expansion in Oman remained robust and continued to gain modest momentum at the end of 2025, following the already strong pace recorded in November.
