Producer prices in Finland increased by 4.6% year-on-year in April 2026, accelerating from a 2.6% rise in March. This was the strongest annual gain since February 2023 and was driven primarily by higher prices for manufactured products (up 4.7% vs 3.5% in March). Notable increases were seen in wearing apparel (2.6% vs 1.7%), rubber and plastic products (1.1% vs 0.8%), electrical equipment (3.7% vs 3.0%), furniture (4.2% vs 3.8%), and other manufactured goods (0.9% vs 0.8%).
Further upward pressure came from mining and quarrying (9.3% vs 8.0%) and from water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services (6.6% vs 4.5%). Prices also rebounded markedly in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply, which rose by 1.0% after an 8.3% decline in the previous month.
On a monthly basis, producer prices climbed 1.2% in April, reversing a 1.4% decrease recorded in March.
