Thailand’s stock of U.S. dollar currency swaps rose modestly, with the indicator increasing from $21.8 billion to $22.1 billion, according to the latest data updated on 22 May 2026. The move marks a small but notable uptick in the country’s use of swap arrangements involving the U.S. dollar.
The increase of $0.3 billion suggests slightly stronger demand for dollar liquidity or enhanced hedging and funding activities in foreign exchange markets. While the change is incremental, it may reflect ongoing efforts by Thai market participants to manage currency risk and secure access to USD funding amid evolving global financial conditions.
