Foreign tourist arrivals to Indonesia rose 7.22% year-on-year to 1.25 million in April 2026, easing from a 10.5% increase in the previous month amid persistent global economic uncertainty and weaker travel demand from several long-haul markets. The majority of visitors came from Malaysia (22.31%), Singapore (14.29%), East Timor (8.26%), China (25.75%), Japan (20.94%), South Korea (4.41%), Australia (5.52%), and the United States (3.47%).
By contrast, arrivals from the Middle East and Europe fell by 25.09% and 15.5%, respectively, with marked declines from the United Kingdom (-17.96%), France (-12.14%), and Germany (-26.13%). Over the first four months of the year, total foreign tourist arrivals increased 8.24% year-on-year to 4.68 million.
