Ghana’s annual inflation rate rose for the second consecutive month to 3.7% in May 2026, up from 3.4% in April, marking its highest level since January. Inflation for food and non-alcoholic beverages quickened to 3.3% in May from 2.2% in April, while non-food inflation eased slightly to 4.1% from 4.2%. On a monthly basis, the consumer price index (CPI) increased by 1.1% in May, compared with a 1.0% rise in the previous month.
